Rumbi will be speaking about the journey to IT. She is a Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) at Open Box Software. She studied a double major in Accounting and Computer Science and completed her Honours in Information Systems and Auditing. She is here to represent women in STEM. She has been involved in the Code4CT initiative and believes there is a gap in knowledge in terms of the vast roles that are available in IT and a lot of fear for women to pursue IT roles. Part of her involvement with Code4CT has been speaking as a guest speaker and sharing her life story of how she ended up in IT and the challenges that she had to overcome, the hard work required and the possibility thereof of Women in IT.

Who should attend?

Current female ICT students, Grade 11 & 12 female students, Unemployed ICT
graduates & Business, Entrepreneurial, Academic and Government stakeholders
who are actively involved in promoting the development of women in ICT.

Join the journey and explore the roles of women in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) here.

Well done Rumbz!
